Making a much-anticipated comeback is Sunderland secondary schools’ Search for a Star competition. With schools having held their own talent shows and preliminary rounds, the final will be taking place just before Easter at Sunderland College.

Featuring singers, dancers, bands and a magician, the event is going to be a sure-fire hit with the audience!

In pursuit of the prize are students from the following schools: Biddick; Monkwearmouth; St Aidan’s; Academy 360; Castle View; Venerable Bede; Oxclose; Thornhill; Hetton; Sandhill View; Southmoor.

With a panel of esteemed judges, the different acts of any art form will perform in their bid for a chance to win a recording session at the college as well as the winners’ trophy.

Previous winners Monkwearmouth will be hosting the evening and will introduce the different acts to the audience.

The Search for a Star final will take place at 6:30pm on Wednesday 6th April at Sunderland College Arts Academy, SR3 4AH.

Entry price will be on a ‘pay what you feel’ basis and tickets can be bought here.
